Advanced Wiring Services is the preferred choice for residential electrician services in Jacksonville Florida.  Offering a wide array of electrician services that include but are not limited to:

Spa Circuit Service: Many homeowners do not realize that they will require the services of a professional electrician to install a home spa. A home spa must be wired to code as required by local statutes as well as general safety.   The National Electrical Code (NEC) requires GFCI protection for cord- and plug-connected pumps on pools, spas, and hot tubs; 120-volt underwater lighting fixtures; and receptacle outlets in the vicinity of pools, spas and hot tubs. Today, the code prohibits electrical installations closer than five feet from water and requires GFCI protection for all electrical equipment, including 240-volt equipment located five to 10 feet from the water and for receptacles within a 20-foot perimeter. A GFCI constantly monitors the flow of current through a protected lighting fixture, pump motor or appliance circuit and senses any loss of current to an outside path. If the current flowing into an electrical appliance or fixture differs by a very small amount from what flows back out, the GFCI instantly interrupts the current flow to prevent a sustained, lethal level of electricity from reaching the consumer. The consumer may feel a painful shock but should be protected from electrocution.

A.W.S.  can assist with the overall planning of where to install the spa, advise on the appropriate features and help you get a great price on a spa.

A.W.S. has installed home spas of all major manufactures and distributors, including REC Warehouse, Garden City Pools and Vita Spa.

Residential Service Upgrade: When purchasing an older home, is not uncommon to find the home requires a service upgrade. Older homes may have a 100 amp service panel (often referred to a breaker panel or in some cases a fuse box) and the homeowner plans to add amenities, like air conditioning or a home spa. These new features will require a 200 amp service panel. Homes built before 1970 may have a breaker panel that is not UL listed and poses a fire hazard. A professional electrician is required to complete these upgrades in a safe and compliant manner.

Safety Inspection:  An electrician is needed to certify a home if the power has been turned off for more than one year. In fact, in Jacksonville, JEA requires that an electrician must certify that the home is in safe operating condition and that certification is followed by a city inspection. It is important to note that this process can take up to a week to complete.  Foreclosed homes that have been unoccupied for long periods are also vulnerable to vandalism as they are stripped of appliances and copper. Before you purchase you next home, consider hiring A.W.S. to inspect the home.

Security Floodlight Installation:  With so many brands and levels of quality we recommend that you buy the flood lights and we install them. Our expertise can provide you with seamless installation and operation of the Dusk to Dawn settings.
